Policies

The following policies apply to all persons at the Celebration, not just attendees. NCFM reserves the right to change or modify any policy or rule at any time and without notice. NCFM reserves the right to revoke, without refund, the badge and Celebration privileges of any attendee not in compliance with this policy and other policies of the Celebration.

Alcohol

No alcohol will be provided by NCFM during the event, but the venue does have a cash bar available for use by attendees.

Badges

  1. Badges and lanyards issued at Celebration check-in registration.
  2. Badges are nontransferable and not to be used by anyone else.
  3. The badge is your permit to attend this Celebration.
  4. During the Celebration, badges remain NCFM property.
  5. Participants must surrender badges to NCFM staff when requested.
  6. Participants much wear their badges visibly on lanyards at all times when attending Celebration events.
  7. Participants must be recognizable to NCFM staff or volunteers and/or wear their badges to attend celebration events.

Baggage

  1. We cannot store or look after personal baggage.
  2. Backpacks, computer cases, briefcases or similar small items are permitted.
  3. You should keep them close to you at all times.
  4. Unattended items are subject to inspection and removal.

Cellphones

  1. During Celebration events please turn off or mute your cell phones.
  2. If you wish to make a call, please do so outside the event.

Minors

Must be 18-years-old or older to attend; or, 16 accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Proof required.

Privacy

By using this or other NCFM Internet sites, you accept and agree with the following:

  1. NCFM may collect personal information you provide.
  2. We do not store credit card details or use cookies.
  3. We use information collected to process payments for donations, membership fees, event fees, merchandise and other things as deemed necessary, appropriate and/or applicable to conduct business.
  4. Information collected may be used to help operate and further the interests of NCFM, its members, donors, discussion groups, chapters, affiliates, related associations, activities, events and Internet sites.
  5. Our web hosting companies provide basic SSL protection, though you will not see in our URL “https//” since our primary website is a combination of “http” and “https” posts and therefore problematic, meaning many http posts will not display properly were we to use more than the basic SSL protection provided by our hosting companies.
  6. Regardless, all of our sites are heavily protected by other means and to our knowledge; we have never had a breach of our databases in which personal information is stored.
  7. Ignore any browser warnings that our Internet sites are not trusted and should be avoided simply because of a missing “s” in the http URL.
  8. Obviously, PayPal, our payment processing company, has heavy security, which is one reason we use PayPal as our online payment processing company.
  9. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise intentionally give personal information to outside parties without proper permission, except to those directly involved in the collection and maintenance of the information and our various operating systems, though we may have to turn over such information if legally compelled.

Smoking

  1. No smoking in Celebration events.
  2. Please go off property to smoke and responsibly dispose of cigarette butts.

Still Pictures, Video & Audio Recording

  1. No video, audio or other filming/recording of the Celebration events is permitted without the express written permission of NCFM.
  2. With the express permission of the venue and express written permission of NCFM, members of the press and media are permitted outside of Celebration events, but forbidden to record by any means Celebration events.
  3. Members of the media and press must wear press passes at all times when involved with the Celebration.
  4. Members of the press are forbidden to photograph, audio-record and/or video Celebration participants or events without prior written authorization of NCFM.
  5. Members of the media and press are reminded that the premises is private property.
  6. Still pictures of presenters may be taken during their presentations unless otherwise requested.
  7. Elsewhere, please ask permission of others to take their picture.
  8. Attendees authorize NCFM or its designee(s) to photograph video and otherwise record their participation in and at NCFM45AC. NCFM or its designee(s) may use such recordings in any media, whether through exhibition, distribution, reproduction, or otherwise, and may include your name, likeness, image, voice, appearance, and performance, as applicable.
  9. NCFM may edit such recordings as it wishes and may use the recordings or excerpts therefrom for promotional and any other purposes. The Organization shall hold and own all right, title, and interest in and to the recordings.
  10. Attendees waive all rights under privacy, publicity, defamation, and proprietary rights relating to such recording(s). NCFM may transfer or license any of its rights herein.
  11. Attendees represent that they have the right to use the text, materials, and other information they present and distribute at the conference.

Liability

  1. Attendees recognize, acknowledge and agree that NCFM and its officers, agents, servants, employees, volunteers and affiliates (“NCFM and Affiliates”) accept no liability for persons or their property and hold harmless such NCFM and Affiliates while at the Holiday Inn, during Celebration events, NCFM events held elsewhere, and while traveling to, traveling from and at Celebration events.
  2. Attendees recognize and acknowledge there are risks of physical injury, however unlikely – including death, damages, property damage, or loss – which may be sustained as a result of participating in any and all activities connected with NCFM45AC or NCFM in general, or the use of the facilities or equipment at the Holiday Inn or in connection with any other event or activity associated with NCFM45AC.
  3. Attendees recognize the assumption of risk in participating in NCFM45AC and agree to waive and relinquish all claims against NCFM and Affiliates that may arise from injuries or damages (to person or property) as a result of participating in NCFM45AC or using the facilities or equipment, whether or not such claims result from the Attendee’s own negligence or the negligence of NCFM or Affiliates.
  4. Attendees do hereby release and discharge NCFM and Affiliates from any liability and any and all claims for injuries, including death, damages, property damage, or loss which may have or may in future accrue to me in account of participating in NCFM45AC or volunteering for the nonprofit organization or any other activity associated with NCFM.
  5. Attendees further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and pay defense costs and defend NCFM and Affiliates, from any and all claims resulting from injuries to attendee, third parties, and to NCFM and Affliates – including death, damages, property damage, or loss – sustained by attendee, third parties or NCFM and Affiliates, in connection with any intentional or negligent act of attendee which causes, directly or indirectly damages or loss to any person or property.
