Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will activities be streamed over the Internet or video recorded for later distribution?

  1. As of 7/31/17 there are no plans to stream activities over the internet or video recorded for later distribution.

Q: Is there a special rate for attending just one day of presentations or individual activities:

  1. No, the registration fee is one rate but you are welcome to attend as many or as few activities as possible after paying the appropriate fees.
  2. Since launching this site we have had “one-day” requests. If you can only attend one day. Please call us (888) 223-1280. Also, keep checking back. We may offer on the registration page “one-day” options if there is sufficient demand.

Q: Are women welcome?

  1. Yes. NCFM has many wonderful members who are women, including our national Treasurer, board members and members at large. And, by the way, we hate the question. It implies that simply because our organization has the word “Men” in its name we are somehow anti-women, an implication of and by itself showing bias against men. Think about it…

Q: How do I get around San Diego?

A: Most hotels, including the Best Western Plus Hacienda Hotel in Old Town, offer free shuttle service from the San Diego International Airport and Santa Fe Train Station. Old Town offers many attractions, dining and entertainment opportunities, all of which are in easy walking distance from area hotels. Aside from car rental companies, Uber and Lyft drivers are plentiful as are cabs. San Diego has an excellent public transportation system with bus stops and a trolley station within walking distance from Old Town hotels.

Q: Are children allowed?

A: Participants must be 16-years-old or older and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian if under the age of eighteen.

Q: How do we get updates?

A: Updates are sent by email or telephone call as appropriate and needed.

If you have other questions please call (888) 223-1280 or ask it in the comment box below. As appropriate, we may answer as a reply to the comment and/or post both the question and answer above.
